Little Bells Pre-School
About Us

Welcome to Little Bells Pre-School, an excellent early years learning environment, based at Belthorn Academy Primary School. The pre-school age is such an important stage for your three 3 year old that we have invested in training for our staff so that the pre-school leader is now a qualified teacher, working alongside two qualified experienced practitioners.

We follow the Early Foundation Stage Curriculum. The curriculum is statutory for all children in England. Pre-School and Reception teachers plan together in order to plan continuous learning for all the children, embed skills and challenge children.

Days spent in pre-school are filled with fun and exciting activities. During sessions there are both focused adult led activities and planned learning throughout the continuous provisions for the children to access. We provide opportunities for mark making, reading, maths, malleable play, sand, water, construction play and small world.

We have a large outdoor area just for the early year’s children. We have a mud kitchen, a maths area, a play house, climbing walls, a sand pit and a stage to build our imagination skills. We also have bikes, scooters, large construction materials and plenty more exciting resources, enabling us to provide many outdoor learning opportunities. We are lucky to be set in a semi-rural location next to a farm.

More information can be found in the tabs below about phonics, maths and our fun Welly Walk Wednesday.

Little Bells Pre-School
I am extremely passionate about Little Bells, we are a successful pre-school with high standards. I am a fully qualified teacher and have worked in early years for 13 years, I am very proud to lead Little Bells and provide high quality learning consistently. The other members of the Little Bells team are all level three qualified and have many years of experience within early years. All staff are paediatric first aid trained.

We are a close team and our priority is to provide an enabling environment were children feel safe, learn and develop in preparation for school.  We aim to make learning fun and enjoyable. We work closely with parents and we are always available at the start/end of the day for updates on your child’s day. We invite parents to stay and play sessions, which gives them the opportunity to play with their child in setting and hear all about what we have been focusing on in class.

We have a Facebook page which we update regularly, which contains information about; topics we are learning about, newsletters, updates and dates for diary. Please take a look for further details.

We have an open door policy, if you would like to visit us and have a look around pre-school, you are welcome to come anytime. If you have any questions, please contact or call 01254 55620.
