I honestly can’t believe we are moving into the final full week of your child’s Reception year. I don’t think I am alone in thinking this year has flown by. The children have been unbelievable and when I think back to where they all started in September they have all made remarkable progress. I am proud of every single one of them!
This week the children have visited Smithills Farm. They loved the experience. We all fed the different animals, rode on a donkey, had a tractor ride, played on the park and watched the cows being milked by a robotic milking machine which was very clever indeed. The children were all very well behaved and listened to the farmers well. I am hoping to send some photos home next week of the children at the farm.
Here is some information of what is happening over the next week and 2 days:
Monday 15th July – Normal school day
Tuesday 16th July – Children will be spending part of the morning in year 1 as part of a transition session
Wednesday 17th July – Sports day and Little Bells Graduation
Thursday 18th July – School books will be sent home, please send a carrier bag into school so everything can be sent home inside it. Also reading books will be collected in ready to be kept in school over the summer holidays.
Friday 19th July – Normal Day
Monday 22nd July – Reception and Little Bells trip to the park and small party in class in the afternoon.
Tuesday 23rd July – Last day – normal finish time
