Thank you to all the parents who came to my phonics and reading meeting on Monday night. I hope you found the information useful and if there is anything else you want to know please don’t ever hesitate to ask. The more opportunities we give your children to read inside and outside of school the best start they will have to their reading journey.
This week we have focused on our senses; the children have tasted several different foods to get their taste buds flowing such as lemon curd, chocolate and salty crisps. The children were very honest with their opinions. They have also played a smelling game, they had to smell 4 items and guess what they were. There were all very confident with strawberries, coffee and chocolate but found mustard hard to identify.
Our number of the week has been 2. We have talked about how to form it and we have also talked about more and fewer.
Next week we will be moving on to Mr Men and Little Miss. We will be talking a lot about feelings and everyone being unique.
