Year 2 started the week with retelling an alternative traditional tale and did a fabulous job with this using all of the Year 2 grammar effectively.
In spelling this week we have been looking at words that end with le and el and the children have tried hard to apply these in other bits of their learning.
In History we explored lots of old artefacts from my family, including a World War 1 medal, my grandma’s school reports and much more. We asked lots of questions and were very respectful of the artefacts – some were over 100 years old.
Yesterday the children fully immersed themselves in the RE day on Judaism and I was really impressed with how well they listened and worked. The children had lots of questions. We focused our day around celebrations and we looked at Hanukkah and during the day the children made their own Hanukkah candles.
Have a brilliant weekend,
