Year 2 Blog

Year 2 – 26/9/19

I can’t believe we are 4 week into Year 2! Time really does fly. We have been up to all sorts as usual.

In Art, we have explored different paint brushes and colours and painted some colourful art pieces. We took our pencils for a walk and created different segments. We then had to choose which paint brush would be better suited to the different segments. We decided thin ones for the tiny pieces and thick brushes for the bigger pieces. Meanwhile Paul Klee has continued to be our inspiration with his love of colour. Year 2 was very colourful Thursday afternoon!

In Computing we have drawn inspiration from our local area and have taken portrait, landscape and macro shot photographs. We drew some of the photographs we had taken.

In PSHE, we have discussed feelings and emotions and role played.
In English we are well into planning our non-chronological reports on Blackburn Rovers ready to inform Mr Furness (Burnley fan) all about our wonderful local football team. We have learnt lots and are confident in using sub-headings to give more information.

Thanks for all of the bake off contributions! They were fantastically designed.
Happy weekend,

Miss Trafford 
