It’s been a great first week back in Year 2. We’ve hit the ground running and have produced some super work.
In English, we have focused on grammar and the children have learnt lots about/recapped nouns. They are confident to use expanded noun phrases.
In Maths the children have had lots of fun creating pictograms and block graphs using cubes and smarties and are able to interpret.
The children have made their own peg dolls after our unit on human form in Art. They have thought about the question ‘does it matter what you look like?’ throughout this Art unit and are able to answer this.
In PSHE, we have continued to discuss staying safe and secrets that are not good. We listened to a story called ‘Some secrets should never be kept’ by Jayneen Sanders and had lots of discussion about it.
It was great to have parents in our maths lesson on Friday and I hope you found it beneficial. I know the children enjoyed themselves!
