Year 3- 01/11/19

What a whirlwind of a week! A Tuesday start to the half term has not taken the edge of the business of the first week back.
Thank you to all those who managed to get to Parents’ Evenings on Tuesday and Wednesday. Please don’t worry if you didn’t manage to see me, I’m always around if you need to catch me or have any worries.
The children have settled straight back in and have refreshed their memories of addition and subtraction. The new unit is focusing of Multiplication and Division so feel free to start practicing times tables. The year 3 focus is 3s, 6s, 4s, and 8s. any extra practice is great.
A quick reminder that there is work set on Mathletics and all the children have a password and username in their reading records.
I had a fantastic response at Parents’ Evening towards the children’s reading and really appreciate the effort everyone is making. With our current English unit looking at newspaper and magazine reports, its super important to keep up with reading fiction stories.
It was great to see the costumes at the Halloween disco as well as the amazing pumpkins! Donald Trump-kin had an uncanny resemblance to his political counterpart and brought a smile to all who saw him.
I look forward to working with the children over the next half-term and expect Christmas to be upon us in no time.
