Year 3 Blog

Year 3 – 07.02.20

This week has whizzed by and we are only 1 away from a well deserved break. This week has been super productive. We have explored how rocks are formed in science and carried out some interesting tests to try to recreate the conditions needed to compress and melt rocks. The children really enjoyed this and no doubt will want to redo it over the holidays. (Sorry about that) .
We’re having a big push on reading at the moment, so please make sure children read aloud at least 4 times a week at home.
We have continued our studies based on Egypt, looking particularly at the river Nile and how it helped in the past as well as now.
This week we have also completed some tests for maths and it has been good to see the knowledge the children are retaining.
Keep up the good work.
Mr Carr.
