A scorching week this week, and Year 4 have coped really well with having SATs in the hall next door. We have managed to spend a lot of time outside. The Main event for this week was our local walk led by Mrs Brown. It was a fantastic afternoon and the children were really keen to know everything about the village in which they spend so much time. A huge thank you to Mr Brown for giving us her time. It is great to have access to someone with so much local knowledge.
We have continued our work on Time, in Maths, and most of the children have got to grips with analogue time as well as 24-hour digital time. They are still working on solving problems involving time, but are well on the way to perfecting their skills.
After many weeks of investigation, the children have produced their CSI reports on the incident at Blackpool zoo! They have looked at different points of view and have explored the best way to report what people have said about it.
A reminder that children really need a hat in the heat. If they have one that can stay in their locker, it can be used whenever needed. We don’t have a lot of shade on our playground so it would really help protect them from the sun.
Have a super weekend. Hopefully the weather will hold.
