Another week and another set of exciting events to report. The children have moved onto to investigating mass in Maths and have worked practically to balance different weights. They have completed their final year 4 assessments and should now be able to relax and enjoy the end of the year.
We are continuing to smash through our final class novel and the children’s literacy sessions will all centre around showing off the skills they have learnt. Their short diaries written from the perspective of a little boy on a day trip, were fantastic and I hope to see more work like this in the last weeks.
Tuesday saw the first sports day since 2019 and the children enjoyed the opportunity to spend a whole day in the fresh air. There were a few pink faces by the end of the day (mine included) but everyone participated really well and waited patiently between races.
As we approach the end of term, our sessions will become more practical as we get to apply our knowledge from the year. The children are working hard on their DT project and should start sewing next week.
The weather has been nice and we are trying to get out more. Please send your child with a hat and maybe some sun cream that they can top up with at lunchtime.
Hope you have a great weekend.
