History was witnessed on Wednesday night. The atmosphere in school this morning was phenomenal. The children were so excited about the result. It’s so good that they had the chance to witness such a great sporting achievement. Also, I think it’s good that our country has something positive to cheer about after such a tricky time.

I cannot believe that next week will be the last week of term. The children have done so well. We had some maths tests this week and even more children have hit age related expectation which is such a great achievement considering amount of time we have not been in school. We have continued to look at converting measure in maths which the children have enjoyed.

In English we have focused on Kensuke’s Kingdom. I have honestly never seen a class enjoy a book so much. Miss Hindle had overheard plenty of conversations at break time about what they think is going to happen which shows how ‘into’ the novel they are. We have done lots of comprehension skills using the book as well as doing some descriptive work, diary entries and retelling of various parts of the book. I have been overwhelmed with their understanding.

We have been practicing for our fun circuit with parents on Monday as well as designing and deciding what is in our smoothies. I am really excited to see children and parents complete the activities.

It’s been a really positive week the children have really blown my socks off. Very proud of them all.

Have a lovely weekend. There’s a rumour going around that ‘it’s coming home!’
