Year 6 Blog

Year 6- 14.02.20

The blog. The final blog of the half-term and by golly it has been a long one folks!

In year 6 this week, the children have all been looking at measurement and have begun to convert between different measurements. They will proceed to look at reasoning questions that involve these very soon also. I think we only need to cover shape now and then we have covered everything we need for their SATs.

In English this week, the children have finished their newspaper article and the majority of the week has been used to recap and revise grammar and punctuation as we edge closer to May.

In our art lessons this half-term we have been looking at photography and it has been really interesting. From making photo montages to this week looking at macro photography (I am sure you are aware, as was I, that this includes up close photos of objects). It was very interesting, the children took some incredible pictures. Well done year 6.

All in all it has been a great week and half term. Hopefully the children are ready to work hard when we return and the focus shifts more towards getting ready for SATs.

Have a wonderful break.
