Headteacher’s Welcome

Welcome to Belthorn Academy Primary.

Thank you for taking the time to view our school’s website.  If you need any further information than what is available on the website, please do not hesitate to contact school directly.

I am extremely proud of and passionate about Belthorn Academy and the values it upholds. At Belthorn Academy, we pride ourselves in growing Happy, Kind, Safe, Accepting, Passionate, Ambitious, Confident, Resilient, Valued, Respectful children through one of the most important stages of their life. These values are instilled in our children from them moment they step through our doors until their final farewells on reaching the milestone of transiting from primary to secondary school. However, your child’s journey with Belthorn Academy does not end there. We encourage our past pupils to visit us for transition days or work experience and later in life become a part of our ‘Belthorn Born & Bred’ Wall of Fame, where we celebrate our past pupil’s successes and inspire our current pupils to dream big!

Our children are given opportunities to express themselves through our ‘Concept Curriculum’, which is driven by theirs and their teacher’s interests. We want to open doors to interests our children have never heard of and encourage them to want to find out more in their own time. Ultimately, by ‘Lighting The Sparks’ – Our Vision Statement.

We achieve all of this by employing and retaining the very best staff who believe in our vision and do everything they can to ensure it happens for every child.  Please visit us to see the best evidence of this – children enjoying their learning!

We look forward to welcoming you to our wonderful school.

Miss Melanie Egan

Our School Values

All pupils, staff, governors and other members of our school community strive to put our Eight Key Words at the centre of everything they do. These eight words encapsulate our Ethos, and so underpin everything we do here at Belthorn:
