The beginning of your Belthorn journey

Little Bells is Belthorn Academy’s pre-school. It’s a happy, friendly, and welcoming place where we pride ourselves on developing very close relationships with our children and their families. 

We know pre-school age is an important development stage for your child – that’s why we’ve invested in an excellent early-years learning environment. Our pre-school leader is a qualified teacher, working alongside qualified and experienced practitioners.

Our Little Bells children enjoy a variety of fun and exciting activities and, as part of our Early Years family, have exposure to our wider curriculum, meaning they’re very much a part of our school community.

It’s the perfect foundation for pre-school years, and attendance can support admission into our Reception class intake.

Why Little Bells?

  • A foundation for learning

    Little Bells is a core part of our school community. We follow the Early Foundation Stage Curriculum, with pre-School and Reception teachers planning together for continuous learning for all the children, embedding skills and encouraging children from their early years.

  • The start of a journey

    Admission to Little Bells is from the age of two, with paid and funded places are available dependent on individual circumstances. In line with our schools admission policy, it can also support intake into our Reception class.

  • Creativity and stimulation

    Days spent in pre-school are filled with fun and exciting activities. During sessions there are both focused adult led activities and planned learning throughout the continuous provisions for the children to access.

Life at Little Bells

  • We are a close team and our priority is to provide an enabling environment were children feel safe, learn and develop in preparation for school.  We aim to make learning fun and enjoyable. We work closely with parents and we are always available at the start/end of the day for updates on your child’s day. We invite parents to stay and play sessions, which gives them the opportunity to play with their child in setting and hear all about what we have been focusing on in class.
